Recover iPhone WhatsApp messages
As announced at the opening of this tutorial, in the course of the next few paragraphs, you can find all the useful methods to recover WhatsApp messages on iPhone in various situations: when switching from an old iPhone to a new one, by reinstalling the app in question and by resetting the phone.
How to recover WhatsApp messages on a new iPhone
If you want to move WhatsApp from one phone to another, move from your current iPhone to a new one. First, you need to back up the chats on your old phone.
To do this, open WhatsApp on the old iPhone, select the Settings tab at the bottom, and move to Chat> Chat Backup. Press the Back up now button on the new screen to create a new backup on iCloud. If you want to include videos in the backup, activate the relevant option.
Furthermore, if you prefer to increase its security through end-to-end encryption (so that the backups are also inaccessible to Apple), click on the item above and then on the Activate option. If you cannot back up your conversations on iCloud, go to the Settings menu> [Your name]> iCloud of iOS and check that the iCloud Drive and WhatsApp options are active. Once you have finished the procedures to follow on the old iPhone, you have to go and act on the new one, checking in advance that some settings are active. Make sure you have the same phone number you had on your old iPhone, then go to the Settings menu> [Your name]> iOS iCloud and check that the phone is associated with the same Apple ID as the old “iPhone by”. Then go to the Settings menu> [Your name]> iCloud and check that the iCloud Drive option is active.
Once this is done, download WhatsApp on the new iPhone via the App Store, start the app and follow the initial setup screen procedure. Check out this Link. After verifying the phone number, the backup of the chats on iCloud should be automatically detected: therefore, press the Restore chat history button, and your conversations should return to their place.
How to recover WhatsApp messages on iPhone from Android
