In the past few days, you have followed my guide on how to build a site for free. Have you finally succeeded in the arduous task, and now would you like to know how to create RSS feeds to make your online space more complete and functional? If the answer is “yes,” know that you have come to the right place or on the right guide.
Before explaining how to create RSS feeds, however, I want to specify one thing. As things currently stand, RSS feeds are an extremely useful tool for anyone with a blog or website. Thanks to RSS feeds, readers can use special services, programs, and applications to receive news published on blogs and Internet sites of interest directly “at home” without necessarily having to open the Web browser and go to discover site by site where there are some Announcements.
Having clarified this, if you intend to understand how to create RSS feeds, I suggest you take a few minutes of free time and devote yourself to reading the following lines. Do not worry, all the operations you will have to carry out are very simple, and I am sure that at the end of this article you will fully agree with me.
How to create RSS feeds from a site.
Are you looking forward to being able to create an RSS feed to be able to make your website complete but have no idea how to create RSS feeds from a site? Don’t worry. I’m here to help you.
First of all, I want to tell you that if you have created a site with WordPress or another popular CMS, the feeds should be available simply by adding/feed to the end of the site address (but still, the feed readers should automatically recognize them by simply entering the site address).
In case your site does not have integrated feeds, or you want to generate feeds for a site not managed by you that does not offer this type of service, below I will tell you about some Web services that will surely be useful for you. You also read interesting articles on my website. However, I want to specify immediately that most of these services are not free, but in any case, you will always have a free trial available to test the functions.
The first service I want to tell you about is called Newsloth, which among the different functions available, has a Feed Builder, which will allow you to create RSS feeds for a website.
To start using the service, the first thing you need to do is go to this web page and click on the Sign Up (top right) and Start Free Trial buttons, under the version of the type of subscription you prefer: Essential ( $ 59 / month or $ 41 / month with annual billing) and Professional ( $ 159 / month or $ 139 / month with annual billing). You can take advantage of a free 14-day trial for each type of subscription chosen.
On the next screen, type in your email address, tick to accept the terms of service, and click on the Sign-Up button.
Once this is done, you must enter the source from which the RSS feed will be created: click on the Add some item to continue. On the next screen, type in your website address and click on the Preview button: a preview of the site will open, from which you just have to select the relevant titles with the mouse and then click on the Save source button.
Rapidfeeds
Another service that could be very useful for creating an RSS feed is Rapidfeeds, which you can access by going to this web page. Once on the service’s main page, click on the Sign Up for Free Trial button, enter all the required information, such as email and password, and click on the Sign-Up button.
After the free trial period, you will need to subscribe to a subscription, starting from $ 4.49 per month for the Basic version to $ 13.95 per month for the Enterprise version. Check out this Link. Look at this page for more information on the differences between the different plans.
Once this is done, you can finally start with the creation. To your RSS feed, to do it, click on the Get Started button located in the News / Data Feed section. On the next screen, enter the title in the Title section, your website link in the Home Page URL section, and a description in the Description section: click the Create Feed button to proceed.
Once the RSS feed has been created, all you have to do is click on the Home button in the top bar, and you will find yourself on a page where you can manage and edit the RSS feed you just created. To integrate it into your website, you must press the appropriate button (</>) and then simply copy and paste the HTML code obtained.
