5. If he does pick it up then you should start to back up still facing your puppy while saying, “Bring It!” If he does bring it to you then praise him well. Keep repeating steps 2 through 4 until he brings it back on a consistent basis.
6. If your puppy is doing Step 5 on a consistent basis, now is the time to increase the distance gradually when rolling the dog toys. If your puppy begins to hesitate to follow him, follow him for encouragement. Please do not throw it so far next time.
